Fotogramas Celebrates 75th Edition of Spanish Film Awards

The 75th Fotogramas de Plata celebrated the best of Spanish cinema, with a special tribute to actor and director Antonio Banderas.

Last night, the prestigious 75th Fotogramas de Plata Awards took place at the iconic Teatro Barceló in Madrid, celebrating the finest achievements in Spanish cinema, television, and theater. This milestone edition saw “La Virgen Roja” crowned as the Best Spanish Film by readers, while “Querer” won Best Spanish Series.

Special honors went to celebrated actor Antonio Banderas, who received a lifetime achievement award during one of the most exciting moments of the night. Over the course of his career, Banderas has received 11 nominations for the Fotogramas de Plata, 11 Fotogramas covers and 4 statuettes: “I never ever forgot my country. I have returned home like the one who returns to Ithaca.”
