Harper’s BAZAAR UK marked this year’s International Women’s Day with a series of inspiring events and conversations, uniting thought leaders, change-makers, and celebrated figures for a day of empowerment, education and celebration.

Breakfast Panel at Annabel’s
The day began with an intimate breakfast hosted at Annabel’s by The Caring Family Foundation. Renowned feminist author Emma Dabiri moderated a dynamic and candid discussion with three trailblazing women—Victoria Prew, Founder of Hurr; Phoebe Schecter, the UK’s first female NFL coach; and Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton, a leading fire officer. Each speaker shared personal insights on breaking barriers and fostering leadership for women. Themes of overcoming failure, promoting authentic leadership, and inspiring future generations resonated throughout the event.

Evening Gala Dinner at Corinthia London
The celebrations culminated in the brand’s seventh annual glamorous gala dinner at Corinthia London, featuring notable guests, including Geri Halliwell-Horner and Lucy Boynton. The evening was held in partnership with The Caring Family Foundation as well as Pomellato and Blacklane.

Notable highlights included speeches by Harper’s BAZAAR UK Editor-in-Chief Lydia Slater and special guest Geri Halliwell-Horner, who raised a toast to “girl power.” Actress Lucy Boynton reflected on her film project “A Cruel Love,” while Marvel star Gemma Chan and humanitarian Zainab Salbi highlighted women’s leadership in environmental preservation. Iconic BBC presenter Emma Barnett concluded with inspiring thoughts on ambition and resilience. Guests enjoyed a glamorous Champagne reception amidst stunning décor designed by Paul Thomas.

Both events showcased the impactful initiatives of the Caring Family Foundation and affirmed Harper’s Bazaar’s commitment to championing women’s voices globally.
