The 46th FIPP World Media Congress officially kicks off on Wednesday in beautiful Cascais, Portugal. Congress is one of the largest annual gatherings for leaders of the global magazine media community and adjacent sectors.
Top industry leaders will share expert insights as part of the event’s innovative programming. Speakers hail from over 20 countries and a range of organizations, including our very own. We are so proud to have both Liz Plosser, Editor-in-Chief of Women’s Health (US), and Joe Martin, Vice President of Media Licensing Sales, representing Hearst Magazines on this impressive global stage.
As the world’s largest wellness media brand for women, Women’s Health has built a winning strategy that engages audiences and builds community by combining science-based service with authentic storytelling. From sharing inspiring athlete stories to spotlighting the next generation of fitness influencers to tapping into key cultural moments, Liz Plosser will share insights on the brand’s approach and why it resonates.
Joe Martin will speak to how Hearst Magazines is growing its global business by deepening ties with consumers worldwide. Through ongoing innovation and by leveraging the trust consumers have in its portfolio of iconic brands, Hearst is doubling down on engagement, focusing on creating monetizable consumer experiences, including membership, e-commerce and affiliate, events, and brand licensing. The session will also detail how Hearst equips its international partners with the right tools to grow and diversify revenue in each individual market.
“It is always exciting to get together with colleagues from media businesses around the globe and share challenges, ideas and opportunities,” said Joe Martin. “Thank you to FIPP and the team organising this invaluable event.”
Our licensing partner Prisma Media will also be speaking at the event. Claire Léost, President of Prisma Media, will highlight how Harper’s BAZAAR’s triumphant print-first launch in France defies history and bucks trends. She will talk to Colin Morrison CBE about how the brand’s dynamic 2023 launch, stellar team, and unique editorial “Bazaar society” ethos led to instant acclaim among readers and upscale brands, signaling a bright future for Prisma in the luxury segment.
For those in Cascais, we wish you an enjoyable event. Be sure to check the agenda for timing and details of Hearst’s speaker sessions on stage.
