Hearst Netherlands Wins Silver MERCUR with Harper’s BAZAAR

Harper's BAZAAR Netherlands clinched the silver MERCUR award for Magazine Media Brand of the Year.

On the evening of November 19, 2024, Theater Amsterdam hosted the 25th annual MERCUR awards, celebrating excellence in the Dutch magazine media industry. Hearst Netherlands clinched the silver MERCUR for Magazine Media Brand with Harper’s BAZAAR, while Elle and Quote secured nominations.

The MERCUR Magazine Media Brand of the Year award recognizes those who push boundaries and achieve exceptional results with their target audience, demonstrating creativity, engaging content, multichannel innovation, and strong commercial performance.

Harper’s BAZAAR has distinguished itself as a market leader with high engagement, inspiring ambitious women to dream big. Over its decade-long presence in the Netherlands, it has cultivated a strong following through multi-channel strategies and inspirational events, including the Women of the Year Awards, the Harper’s Bazaar Business Club, and digital platforms. Harper’s BAZAAR continues to grow with initiatives like the Art & Interior Special and the new Presidential Suite at Hotel de L’Europe in Amsterdam, illustrating its commitment to impactful and stylish content for ambitious women and advertisers alike.

The jury praised Harper’s BAZAAR as an iconic brand enabling women to envision and achieve substantial dreams while maintaining a top-tier revenue model.

Besides Harper’s BAZAAR, Hearst Netherlands was nominated for the Best Editorial Team of the Year with ELLE, spearheaded by Editor-in-Chief Anke de Jong, and for BeLOFte of the Year, with Quote editor Lotte Verheul.
