PUBLISHED: Jun 2, 2023

NEW YORK, June 02, 2023Hearst Magazines International today announced the relaunch of Men’s Health Mexico and Men’s Health Latin America under a multiyear, multi-platform licensing agreement with Menta Comunicación y Medios S.A. de C.V. The news marks the latest global expansion of the world’s largest and most trusted men’s media brand. Victor Martinez has been named editor-in-chief of both properties and will oversee the content strategy and development of the brand across print and digital. The announcement was made by Hearst Magazines International President Jonathan Wright and Menta Comunicación y Medios CEO Christian Rojas.

“I am delighted to partner with Menta Comunicación y Medios as Hearst relaunches Men’s Health Mexico and Men’s Health Latin America,” Wright said. “The return of the brand to these key markets further demonstrates our commitment to delivering best-in-class editorial products for passionate audiences around the world while we create new opportunities for advertisers to tap into the power of Men’s Health across all platforms.”

“As the go-to resource for fitness, style, grooming, relationships, mental health and more, Men´s Health will bring a breath of fresh air to our market,” said Rojas. “It is a pleasure to team with Hearst Magazines International to deliver multi-platform content and experiences that will reach and inspire Latin American men in a way that has never been done before.”

An accomplished fitness, health and lifestyle writer and editor, this marks a return to Men’s Health for Martinez, who previously served as editor-in-chief for the Mexican editions of Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Runner’s World from 2016 to 2020. Most recently, he served as editor-in-chief of We Rise Project, a digital platform focused on health, fitness, and sports which he co-founded.

Victor embodies the virtues at the core of Men’s Health—striving to be his best self in all areas of his life,” said Kim St. Clair Bodden, senior vice president of editorial and brand director of Hearst Magazines International. “An expert journalist, he connects naturally with this audience and is perfectly suited to return to this role to build upon the legacy of Men’s Health, inspiring the millions of active men in Mexico and Latin America with fresh insight about their physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.

“I know I speak for thousands of men in Mexico and Latin America when I say that Men’s Health was greatly missed during the past few years. I am grateful to both Hearst Magazines International and Menta Comunicación y Medios for the opportunity to be a part of this new era for the brand,” said Martínez. “With renewed enthusiasm and a fresh perspective, I am committed to providing our audience across all platforms with the tools and information they need to become the best version of themselves, both in and out of the gym, and I look forward to bringing them all that they had come to love about Men’s Health and much more.”

Men’s Health Mexico will launch across all media platforms first, publishing six issues through 2023, and eight issues annually in 2024. Men’s Health Latin America will debut in 2024, publishing eight issues annually in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Panama and Peru. The online destination for both markets, MensHealthLatAm.com, will launch this summer.

Men’s Health, which marks its 35th anniversary later this year, inspires men to be stronger, faster, better, more authentic versions of themselves. The brand reaches a global audience of more than 52 million across print, digital, and social extensions, and with the introduction to Mexico and Latin America will have 12 editions around the world.
