New Editor-in-Chief of Esquire Italia Succeeds with First Issue

Giovanni Audiffredi joined the magazine in January and is already taking the brand to new heights.

The Italian edition of Esquire has found a new editor-in-chief in Giovanni Audiffredi, a seasoned editor and Condé Nast veteran who has most recently dedicated his career to freelancing and consulting. With Audiffredi at the helm, the magazine has been redesigned to share ideas and create relationships, taking a sophisticated look at style, current affairs, visual arts, and the pleasures of life.

The revamped Esquire Italia went on newsstands earlier this month with its March issue, Issue 31. Within a week of being released, it was sold out on newsstands in Northern Italy and most newsstands in Lombardy. In light of this success, Hearst has decided to return to newsstands with an additional print run of the magazine.

Esquire’s March issue, the first signed by the new Editor-in-Chief, features renewed graphics and three exclusive covers: R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, photographed by Johan Sandberg; Italian singer-songwriter Marco Mengoni, photographed by Philip Gay; and the Ferrari drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr., photographed by Piotr Niepsuj. Inside, the contents are divided into four sections with four covers created by a different visual artist, adding to the new style and direction of the brand.
