In partnership with Cisalfa Runner’s World Italy has kicked off “The Running Academy Talk, Test & Community Run,” a series of six events across Italy’s major cities. The tour offers unique opportunities to engage with Runner’s World editorial staff and experts, dive into technical discussions, join in fun city runs to test top-tier shoe models from renowned brands, and celebrate the shared passion for sports with the running community.
These gatherings, made possible by the widespread presence of Cisalfa Sport stores across the country, serve as platforms to connect with local running communities. With over 160 points of sale, Cisalfa stands as Italy’s premier chain for athletic apparel, footwear, and equipment. Its stores will serve as hubs to unveil new product launches from leading running brands and engage with Runner’s World experts.
The Rome leg of the Academy commenced today, Friday, June 6, at the Cisalfa shop in Rome. Teaming up with Nike, participants tested the new Nike Pegasus 41 and enjoyed a scenic run through the capital’s enchanting streets. Afterward, coach Andrea Giocondi delved into a topic close to every runner’s heart: “Your feet, the secret weapon for personal bests.” Accompanied by Nike coach Anita Spiro, runners were invited to explore the latest Nike Pegasus 41, the iconic running shoe now available in stores.
Next up is Milan on Thursday, June 13, starting at 6:30pm from the Cisalfa Sport shop. Once again, Nike coach Anita Spiro will present the Nike Pegasus 41 for Milanese enthusiasts. This time, the technical talk will be led by Davide Nappo, coach, and physiotherapist, alongside Lorenzo Lotti, coach and ultramarathon runner, discussing “Economy and efficiency in endurance running. What really matters?” After testing the new shoes on an urban route, unwind with fellow runners.
The Running Academy will have four other events until autumn. Each event is free and reserved for a limited number of runners who receive exclusive gadgets, the event t-shirt and an extra discount for purchases in Cisalfa Sport stores. For registrations: The Running Academy.
